The fact of “kissing” its victims therefore resembles the attacks of “dementors” who literally suck out a person’s soul to remove any part of their humanity, leaving them with only the bad memories of their life. In addition, the mark of Voldemort’s servants is a snake coming out of a skull, and represents a curse in which the kiss would not be a proof of love to bind one’s soul, but rather a snake that simply wants to kill.
The nauseating idea that Voldemort kisses his victims after their murders would therefore explain why the author of Harry Potter never wanted to reveal the complete process of creating a horcrux. Rowling’s universe is aimed at a young and adult audience, it is indeed preferable to have never shown this kind of scene on screen or in writing.
