That said, there are plenty of stars who refuse to sign autographs or take selfies, without being obnoxious.
These stars have their reasons, and it holds up pretty well.
For example, Ringo Starr of the Beatles said in 2008 that he would not sign any more autographs after finding that everything he signed ended up on eBay the next day.
Ditto for Brian Cranston ( Breaking Bad ), who now refuses to sign anything for the same reasons, but who wants to take selfies, on the other hand.
It is true that it is often difficult to tell the difference between a real fan who has an object signed and a professional retailer who wants to give value to an object.
Emma Watson, meanwhile, agrees to sign autographs, but refuses to systematically take selfies. For what ?
