What are the anecdotes about Game of Thrones?

At a convention, I had the opportunity to participate in a conference by the actor, Jack Gleeson , who became world famous for playing Joffrey Baratheon, a bloodthirsty king and a pure sadist. “ Game Of Thrones ” audiences remember the psychological torture he enjoyed inflicting on his young wife, Sansa Stark. And better yet, the public cheered his death; when he was poisoned during his own wedding banquet, a cult moment in the series. Although having abandoned his acting career since 2014 to concentrate on his university studies, he accepted a question-and-answer session with an audience composed mainly of fans.

We were able to learn that actor Peter Dinklage (left), playing Tyrion, was a person who knew how to create a great atmosphere on the sets and often made the rest of the crew laugh. Then Jack Gleeson also spoke of Charles Dance (right), playing Tywin, as an actor who had greatly inspired him. “ He knows how to convey so much emotion through his simple gaze, it was sometimes hypnotizing.

Obviously, Jack Gleeson is the complete opposite of his character, smiling and at ease with his audience. I couldn’t help but ask a question too: ” Are you afraid that the role of Joffrey will stick with you for the rest of your career?

” Yes, but it’s proof that he was a very well-written character, he will remain in the spectators’ memory as the most horrible of characters. That’s what the series wanted. And I’m happy to have participated to this adventure

Jack Gleeson’s anecdote:

During the scene of Joffrey’s funeral ceremony, the actor had to remain lying on his back with stones placed on his eyelids. Unfortunately Jack Gleeson was exhausted from filming the series but also from his exam revision; as this scene lasted a long time, he fell asleep which caused the stones to fall. The entire crew had to cut and start the scene again. And it became very painful for him because he had to lie down, eyes closed, for 5-6 hours but without falling asleep.

This is perhaps new information for some people about this unloved character… and yet I loved hating him. And you ?
